This weekend is finally here. It has been my 4th year in coming to Youth Conference Alberta or as what I like to call it - YCAB. I am 22 years old and to be honest I am feeling like I am getting too old for this. or so I thought.
The level of your expectation determines the level by which you will be filled.
I have heard that from years back and that's how I always see things. I expected not too much this year as I thought I am too old for this. I came because of the worships to be honest. I love giving my heart to God through songs and dancing and YCAB is perfect for that. and yet, God still made his word clear, even when I wasn't trying to listen. This year's round of speakers were really good. Their message was concise and well put together. I am really glad I came.
Also, this year is special because it is the last year that it is going to be spent here in Edmonton. Since Rexall Place will be renovated, next year's YCAB will be at Red Deer. maybe a couple of hours away from Edmonton and we are not sure if we are still going to be there, but i sure hope we are.

Another movie!! i am so sorry. This is just what I do I guess... anyway...
I have watched all of the installments. Though I have watched it a very long time ago... and I dont have a really good memory.. at least not for X Men.. so if you haven't watched it and are planning to, maybe it is good to just have a refresher of the previous installments. I mean we all love binge watching anyway! (i refuse to believe it is just me) the whole movie I was just confused on what is happening. Thank God I have my boyfriend with amazingly good memory specially in movies so he filled me in most of the time. I will watch this movie again but only because I didn't understand it the first time hahahah I am so sorry. I liked the whole movie though. The effects, all of the cast. Quicksilver's scene was just phenomenal. I go to the movies to be entertained, to enter a different universe even just for a little bit and that's what this movie did to me. Except you know, I was really confused the entire time. hahaha

I didnt actually notice that we watch a lot of movie until now that I actually sit down and put them somewhere. BUT YES another movie!!!
I have been a JADINE fan for some time now. I mean I just fell in love with them in OTWOL. Since then I have catched up on everything they ever made so it is no surprise that I actually came out and watched this one. To be honest, it is still lacking something. The whole plot is nice but I just think it wasn't executed properly. I think the whole thing was just rushed considering they are on tour and all. It was a lot better for sure than talk back and you're dead. That movie just jumped all over the place. This one not so much. I dont know I just want smooth transitions. I guess that's what I am looking for when I watch something. How it all ties together. but yes for James and Nadine. Still love you guys!

You are right another movie. because the weather is getting nicer and we want to go out but we don't know any other place to go or stuff to do so we go to the mall that is 2 blocks away from home. laziest couple award! but anyway. I am getting ready for something a little special so we decided to go shopping and I managed to get this 2 pieces that I am so happy with, I wanted to show you.
The deal is with me gaining weight now, I have put off shopping for several months. I just couldn't find a good dress that looks good on me now. I know I am not fat but I am just not used to having all this legs and tummy. but then I found this one! A little black dress and a cardigan that goes to your legs, im sure there is a name for it, i just dont know what. hahaha

Just a quick update. So early in the month I have subscribed for an Ipsy Glam Bag. hahahah I know right? makeup when I dont even know how to use them?! You might think that I am just wasting my money (and you could be right but then again) this is not too much money anyway! and I love getting stuff in the mail!! so there you go! but here's what I got for the first time ever. SATURDAY!!!!
I know I am a lazy person and I would really rather curl up in bed watch netflix all day--and that would describe my perfect day! No chores, no stuff to do, hakuna matata. On some days though like this particular saturday, I actually gathered my strength and decided to do something. and here it is:
Morning: SWIMMING!
If you didnt know yet, our apartment building houses a huge swimming pool, and a gym and a sun deck area. Most of the friends that have gone over say, "you're so lucky you have a swimming pool, etc) but the truth is, we never use it, not that often at least. So does the other tenants. That's why whenever we are there, there is usually nobody. At night there will be 2 elderly who is doing their laps but other than that... yup nobody... except on the rare days that you know somebody invited everyone over to have a swimming party or whatever. but yeah.
So when we're not on the couch watching netflix or not in the movie house, we are at the pool of our building!
Afternoon: Canadian Brewhouse
There is only one reason, and one reason alone why I ever go to this place and it is..... STEAKBITES!!!!
The first time I've tasted this one was in Taste of Edmonton 2 summers ago and we have been going to Canadian Brewhouse ever since. It is your regular steak cooked in Adobo sauce, yup you are right ADOBO sauce, and served with SESAME SAUCE. OHHH you have to love all the calories!!!!!! so yes whenever I feel like giving myself a little treat we go here!

This one is a Filipino Movie. Oh my gosh, boy did I had lots of fun!!!! I think so did everybody in the theater. ANYWAY... Normally, Filipino movies are corny or like idk really off in some levels like it will just have one plot and usually it's the theme song of the movie incorporated in the movie title. hahaha #nohate just the fact. This one I really enjoyed though. I think it was the fact that they weren't really trying too hard to make a story out of it. No impossible turn of events, no impractical decisions made. Just plain old lighthearted romantic comedy which I really love. Jennylyn and John Lloyd made a really good pair out of the movie though I cant seem to notice that the role could have fitted Toni Gonzaga as well.... #opinionated anyway. It is a good movie! I'm glad I spent money on it. Will watch it again online. hahaha SO this is a 10/10 from yeye-the-not-a-movie-critic-but-gives-ratings-anyway. Happy watching ya'll!

Another movie ya'll!!!! Captain America: The Civil War!!
I have watched all of the Marvel movies in the last 2 years. (if The Hulk came out 2 years ago, then the previous statement is a lie, that is the only one I haven't watched for some reason) I am fascinated by the Marvel Universe and I am amazed with the cinematography and all of that other stuff from all of their movies. So this movie was a no brainer, as soon as it was out, we moved out of the couch and into the cinemas.
I am team Iron Man, always has, always will be. He's the reason why I love Avengers. He is so smart and witty and funny. I haven't really read the comics so i dont know if it is just Robert Downey Jr. or it is just really Iron Man that I love. but i do. If it's between him and Chris Hemsworth, I'd still choose Iron Man. but he's fictional so maybe Chris Hemsworth... but between Thor and Iron Man, definitely Iron Man. (OKAY. squirrel moment there.)
The movie was just mind blowing and sad, for some reason. I wanted them to stick together. forever. #walangforever and in some levels I guess they still are. but it is just not the same. I look forward to the future movies that are still coming up but i just have a bad feeling it won't be the same... One other thing that I loved is how everyone is in this movie... and if you have read my review on Batman vs. Superman, this movie achieved what the former didn't. This one showed everybody but it all tied together you know? smooth transitions, not at all weird and didn't seem like they were just put in there just to make a point. It was great! maybe it's the happily ever after girl in me that wanted a perfectly happy ending. this movie gets an 8/10 rating from yeye-not-a-movie-critic-but gives-a-rating-anyway. Will watch it again if needed (like recalling for the next installment) but not for fun, maybe.

When I was really young, I played tambourine in our church. Never really got to play it since we moved to Qatar (we moved when I was 13 yo) until today. It was so weird how I can still recognize some of the patterns and remember it even. This is definitely timeline worthy. I have been away from the ministry for so long now. This is just quite a surprise since I never expected to just be dancing again. like nothing happened right? I always considered myself as a non-dancer dancing because that's what kids do at church. but here I am 22 and dancing for the Lord. and I couldn't be more blessed. Thank you for the opportunity MCC and most especially to ate eds!
